The Sun Comes Up at the Grand Canyon -
グランドキャニオンの日の出
太陽が昇り、気温は9度、20回目のキックでバイクのエンジン始動、バックファイアが起きてスタート。この冒険の4日目、グランドキャニオンに到着。ゾクゾクするような感覚に襲われる。 全て投げ出し、今この瞬間に存在しているのだ。私は風景の大きさと色に圧倒されている...。 自然界がどれほど美しいか。創造的な旅は全速力で進み、私はすべての雑音から逃れ、自由になった。グランドキャニオンの壮大さを表現する言葉はほとんどない。自分がいかに小さな存在であるかということが、私の周囲で鳴り響いている。
深さ１マイルの渓谷は、険しい、耐え忍ぶということの意味を美しい視点で教えてくれる。その光景は力強く、それが与える感覚は強烈で、色、深さ、目に見える質感は、それを感じるほどインパクトがある。

米国が看板のカーニバルと化したのは、１９世紀末、広告がかつてないほど盛んに行われるようになった頃である。当時は、看板の場所や大きさ、壁面の占有面積など、何のルールもありませんでした。商業ビル、納屋、倉庫、穀物サイロなど、人が集まるところ、通り過ぎるところならどこでもOKだったのです。
バーリントン・ノーザン鉄道の建設に重要な役割を果たしたワシントン州スルタン。鉄道建設中、スルタンは重要な補給基地となり、その後、ロッジングタウンとして繁栄していった。
それを愛している。 過酷で、悔いのないエッセンスが残っていて、荒々しくて、天邪鬼なところがある。野生の歴史、自由、冒険、そして縛られない厳しさ。自由...。それがすべてだ。

The kinship between Black Bear Brand and The Last Knife Fighter is rooted in many of our philosophies and approaches towards life. Buddy get my knife was the song that brought us together. Here's a special acoustic version of Buddy Get My Knife by The Last Knife Fighter for Black Bear Brand in celebration of their kinship.
The American West, where a ghost of the wild west is still alive. It is raw, untamed, and vast; I love it, I feel free; it is magnificent.
I've ditched my helmet a couple hundred miles earlier in Montana. I'm riding into Wyoming through Yellowstone National park. Its summer, nature is alive, the colors, the smells... my senses are going wild, everything is intensified. I'm alive.
I'll be at a friends ranch in Moran, Wyoming.... soon.

Josh Sirlin is in love with his 1948 Panhead. And with freedom, adventure. And so, the creative director of the Black Bear Brand went on a trip through America’s Wild West. To escape all noise and experience the rawness of nature from the seat of his bike. Always at his side: Josh’s Big Pilot’s Watch.
